Over the weekend, HCHC had the joy of welcoming the GOYA group from the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Saint Paul in Long Island!

Led by Fr. Elias Pappas, a Holy Cross alumnus, the group participated in Divine Liturgy, enjoyed brunch with our students, toured the Archbishop Iakovos Library and Museum, and learned about the role Hellenic College Holy Cross plays in the spiritual and educational life of Orthodox youth.

✨Join us Thursday, April 10, 5:00 PM Pacific with Pres. Sophia Swanson✨

Topic: HumilityPresbytera Sophia is from Kenosha, Wisconsin and graduated from Hellenic College with a bachelor’s in Elementary Education in 2014. That same year, she moved to Mexico, married, and, with her new husband, worked as the building and volunteer coordinator for Project Mexico. With their first child they returned to HCHC in 2016 where her husband graduated as a seminarian. They spent three years working at a church in West Virginia and returned to Mexico and “the ranch” in 2022 where they now live with their five children. She has lived in Mexico for a total of five years. She is a homeschooling mother of five, loves to garden, chase down chickens, bake sweets all day when possible, and teaches catechism classes on subjects like “Fractals of Creation” in Spanish. She is grateful for a full life in Christ. Webinars are free and open to the public. Please RSVP to attend projectmexico.org/force-speaker-seriesAn initiative of Project Mexico & St. Innocent Orphanage, Hellenic College Holy Cross and Leadership 100, the FOrCE educational series is purposefully designed to introduce a wealth of post-service opportunities in Orthodox education.#theFOrCE #grant #buildinghope365 #leadership100 #helleniccollegeholycross #webinar #speakerseries #liveorthodoxy #orthodox #orthodoxchristianity #orthodoxchristian #orthodoxservice #projectmexico #orthodoxy ...
